This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, only the wayward follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
