Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
