And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]? 67 We have been promised this, and our fathers before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients.' 68 Say: "Go all over the earth and behold what happened in the end to those [who were thus] lost in sin!" 69 (O Prophet), do not grieve over them, nor be distressed at their designs. 70 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 Now, verily, thy Sustainer is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are bereft of gratitude. 73 Verily your Lord knows all that their hearts conceal as well as all that they reveal. 74 And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register. 75 Verily this Qur'an recounteth with truth unto the Children of Isra'il much of that wherein they differ. 76 And verily it is a guidance and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Indeed your Lord will decide between them by His judgement. He is All-Mighty, All-Knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 You cannot make the dead listen and the deaf are unable to hear calls. Thus, they turn back on their heels. 80 Nor can you be a guide to the blind out of their error; you cannot make to bear (any one) except those who believe in Our communications, so they submit. 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
