The unbelievers say, 'What, when we are dust, and our fathers, shall we indeed be brought forth? 67 It was promised to us and to our fathers before us. It is only ancient legends." 68 Say: 'Journey in the land, then behold how was the end of the sinners.' 69 And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee). 70 They ask, "When the Day of Judgment will come, if it is true at all?" 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Surely this Qur'an explains to the Children of Israel most of the matters concerning which they have disagreements 76 it is a guidance, and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none hear save these who believe in Our signs and who have submitted themselves. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82
