The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 Indeed, we were promised this - we and our forefathers - in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 Do not grieve over them, and do not be distressed by what they contrive. 70 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 Indeed Your Lord is exceedingly bountiful to mankind. Yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 And verily it is a guidance and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Indeed your Lord will decide between them by His judgement. He is All-Mighty, All-Knowing. 78 Trust in God for you follow the manifest truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none hear save these who believe in Our signs and who have submitted themselves. 81 ۞ When God's word is justly carried out against them, We will produce a dabbah from the earth which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our signs. 82
