We (once) sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years less fifty: but the Deluge overwhelmed them while they (persisted in) sin. 14 Then We delivered him and those in the ark, and made it a sign unto the worlds. 15 And Abraham, when he said to his people, 'Serve God, and fear Him; that is better for you, did you know. 16 You only serve, apart from God, idols and you create a calumny; those you serve, apart from God, have no power to provide for you. So seek after your provision with God, and serve Him, and be thankful to Him; unto Him you shall be returned. 17 And if you reject (the truth), nations before you did indeed reject (the truth); and nothing is incumbent on the apostle but a plain delivering (of the message). 18 Do they not see how God originates creation, then reproduces it? That surely is easy for God. 19 Tell them, "Roam the earth and see how He originated creation. Then God will bring into being your second life. God has power over all things. 20 He punishes whom He will and has mercy to whom He will. To Him you shall be turned. 21 Ye cannot escape (from Him) in the earth or in the sky, and beside Allah there is for you no friend or helper. 22
