Corruption doth appear on land and sea because of (the evil) which men's hands have done, that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return. 41 Say: 'Journey in the land, then behold how was the end of those that were before; most of them were idolaters.' 42 Therefore in purity set your face to the religion, before there comes from Allah a Day that cannot be turned back. On that Day mankind will be separated. 43 Whoso disbelieves, his unbelief shall be charged against him; and whosoever does righteousness for themselves they are making provision, 44 so that He might reward, out of His bounty, those who have attained to faith and done righteous deeds. Verily, He does not love those who refuse to acknowledge the truth 45 Among His Signs is this, that He sends the Winds, as heralds of Glad Tidings, giving you a taste of His (Grace and) Mercy,- that the ships may sail (majestically) by His Command and that ye may seek of His Bounty: in order that ye may be grateful. 46 Verily We sent many apostles before you to their people, who brought clear signs with them. Then We retributed those who were sinful. It is a duty incumbent on Us to help the believers. 47 Allah is he Who sends forth the winds so they raise a cloud, then He spreads it forth in the sky as He pleases, and He breaks it up so that you see the rain coming forth from inside it; then when He causes it to fall upon whom He pleases of His servants, lo! they are joyful 48 though before its coming they had despaired. 49 Look then at the effects of Allah's mercy: what wise He quickeneth the earth after the death thereof. Verily, He is the Quickener of the dead, and He is over everything Potent. 50 But if We were to send a wind and then their tilth has become yellow, they would never cease to disbelieve. 51 So verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they turn away in flight. 52 And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [in submission to Allah]. 53
