Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book (the Quran). 2 a guidance and mercy for the doers of good, 3 Who are constant in devotion, pay the zakat, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 Those are upon guidance from their Lord; those are the prosperers. 5 There are some people who would purchase distracting talk, to lead astray from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and take it in mockery; for those is a humiliating punishment. 6 And when Our signs are recited to such a man he turns away, waxing proud, as though he heard them not, and in his ears were heaviness; so give him good tidings of a painful chastisement. 7 (As for) those who believe and do good, they shall surely have gardens of bliss, 8 where they shall live for ever. The promise of Allah is the truth; He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind. 10 This is the creation of God. Show me what those whom you consider equal to God have created. In fact, the unjust ones are in plain error. 11
