Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
A. L. M. 1 The revelation of the Book, there is no doubt in it, is from the Lord of the worlds. 2 Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may receive guidance. 3 God is He that created the heavens and the earth, and what between them is, in six days, then seated Himself upon the Throne. Apart from Him, you have no protector neither mediator; will you not remember? 4 He sends the regulation of the affair from the heavens to the earth, then on the day which is equal to one thousand years of yours, it will ascend to Him. 5 Such is the Knower of the unseen and the visible, the Powerful, the Merciful, 6 The One Who created all things excellent, and Who initiated the creation of man from clay. 7 then He made his offspring from a clot of weak water (semen). 8 Then made him proper and blew into him a spirit from Him, and bestowed ears and eyes and hearts to you; very little thanks do you offer! 9 And they say: When we are lost in the earth, how can we then be re-created? Nay but they are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say thou: the angel of death who is set over you shall cause you to die, thereafter unto your Lord ye shall be returned. 11
