And [yet,] those who are bent on denying the truth do say: "We shall never believe in this Qur'an, and neither in whatever there still remains of earlier revelations!" But if thou couldst only see [how it will be on Judgment Day,] when these evildoers shall be made to stand before their Sustainer, hurling reproaches back and forth at one another! Those [of them] who had been weak [on earth] will say unto those who had gloried in their arrogance: "Had it not been for you, we would certainly have been believers!" 31 The arrogant ones will say to those who had been despised: "Was it we who kept you back from Guidance after it reached you? Nay, rather, it was ye who transgressed. 32 Those who were despised say unto those who were proud: Nay but (it was your) scheming night and day, when ye commanded us to disbelieve in Allah and set up rivals unto Him. And they are filled with remorse when they behold the doom; and We place carcans on the necks of those who disbelieved. Are they requited aught save what they used to do? 33 Never did We send a warner to a population, but the wealthy ones among them said: "We believe not in the (Message) with which ye have been sent." 34 And (further): "We have far more wealth and children (than you), and we are not the ones to be punished." 35 Say, "My Lord increases and determines the sustenance of whomever He wants, but most people do not know." 36
