۞ People, it is you who are in need of Allah. He is the Rich, the Praised. 15 If He will, He could destroy you and bring about a new creation. 16 That is not a hard thing for Allah. 17 AND NO BEARER of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; and if one weighed down by his load calls upon [another] to help him carry it, nothing thereof may be carried [by that other,] even if it be one's near of kin. Hence, thou canst [truly] warn only those who stand in awe of their Sustainer although He is beyond the reach of their perception, and are constant in prayer, and [know that] whoever grows in purity, attains to purity but for the good of his own self, and [that] with God is all journeys' end. 18 And the blind and the seeing are not alike 19 Nor are the depths of Darkness and the Light; 20 Nor are the shade and the heat, 21 And not equal are the living and the dead! Indeed Allah causes them to listen*, whomever He wills; and you cannot make those who are in the graves** listen. (* Listen to guidance **The disbelievers are referred to as dead, whose fates are sealed.) 22 You are but a warner, 23 Verily We have sent thee in truth, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner: and there never was a people, without a warner having lived among them (in the past). 24 If they give the lie to you now, those that went before them also gave the lie to their Messengers when they came to them with Clear Proofs, with Scriptures, and with the Illuminating Book. 25 Then I seized those who denied the Truth, and how terrible was My punishment! 26
