Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by Ya Sin 1 By the Wise Qur'an, 2 Thou art indeed one of the messengers, 3 On a right way. 4 This is a revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 That thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were not warned; so they are negligent. 6 (I swear) that most of them are doomed to be punished. They have no faith. 7 We have put fetters around their necks which reach up to their chins so that they are standing with their heads upright, 8 And We shall raise a barrier in front of them and a barrier behind them, and cover them over so that they will not be able to see. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the reminder and fears the Beneficent Allah in secret; so announce to him forgiveness and an honorable reward. 11 Surely it is We who bring the dead to life and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; everything We have numbered in a clear register. 12
