And whomsoever We cause to live long, We reduce (him) to an abject state in constitution; do they not then understand? 68 And We have not taught him (Muhammad) poetry, nor is it meet for him. This is naught else than a Reminder and a Lecture making plain, 69 To warn the living*, and to prove the Word against disbelievers. (Only the believers are deemed alive in Allah’s sight.) 70 Have they not seen how that We have created for them of that Our hands wrought cattle that they own? 71 We have subjected these to them, so that some may be used for riding and some for food, 72 And for them in the animals are numerous different benefits and drinks; so will they not be grateful? 73 Yet they have taken, apart from God, gods; haply they might be helped. 74 They have not the power to help them: but they will be brought up (before Our Judgment-seat) as a troop (to be condemned). 75 However, be not grieved by the sayings of those [who deny the truth]: verily, We know all that they keep secret as well as all that they bring into the open. 76 Has not man regarded how that We created him of a sperm-drop? Then lo, he is a manifest adversary. 77 And he invents an example for Us, while forgetting his own creation, saying, “Who is such that can revive the bones when they have completely rotted away?” 78 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “They will be revived by the One Who created them the first time; and He is the All Knowing of every creation.” 79 [It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite. 80 Is not He, Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them? Yes, indeed! He is the All-Knowing Supreme Creator. 81 His affair, when He intendeth a thing, is only that He saith unto it: be, and it becometh. 82 Therefore Purity is to Him in Whose Hand* is the control over all things and it is towards Him that you will be returned. (Used as a metaphor to mean Power). 83
