The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
