The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
