The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 and the drivers driving, 2 And those who recite the message, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
