The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
