The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
