The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily your God is One. 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
