The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 and the scarers scaring 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
