The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Verily your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
