۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 [They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?" 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 and advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 [To which] the others will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were bereft of all faith! 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 In gardens of delight, 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 No headiness there shall be therein, nor shall they be therewith inebriated. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 So one among them turns to the other, questioning. 50 One of them speaks thus: "Behold, I had [on earth] a close companion 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 What then, shall we not die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 74

Notes and Instructions
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
