۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing. 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 And they will all turn to one another, asking each other [about their past lives]. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 What, do we then not die 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 Before them erred most of the ancients, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74
