1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 apart from God, and guide them unto the path of Hell! 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 and advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: (now) we shall surely taste; 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing. 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 And they will all turn to one another, asking each other [about their past lives]. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 What, do we then not die 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire: 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And certainly most of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
