And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
