3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
