Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him – We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
