3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
