Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
