Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
