We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
