We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
