We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
