And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
