And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
