We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
