And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
