Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
