Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 can lure away from God any 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
