Hizb 46

And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
