Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 we are the rangers, 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
