Hizb 46

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 What, would they then say: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
