Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 That they would be helped, 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
