Hizb 46

And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 What, would they then say: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
