And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And surely they used to say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
