Hizb 46
< random >
And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 we are the rangers, 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And there were those who said, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
