Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 What though they would say, 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 That they would be helped, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
