S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Sad. By the Qur'an containing reminder... 1 But nay - they who are bent on denying the truth are lost in [false] pride, and [hence] deeply in the wrong. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed afore them, and they cried when there was not time of fleeing. 3 And they marvel that a warner from among themselves hath come unto them, and the disbelievers say: This is a wizard, a charlatan. 4 “Has he made all the Gods into One God? This is really something very strange!” 5 And their leaders went about, “Leave him and cling steadfastly to your Gods! Indeed he has a hidden objective in this!” 6 We have not heard this in the religious community close to our time. This is nothing but a fabrication. 7 To him of all of us has the Reminder been sent down?" They are still in doubt about My admonition; but they have not tasted My punishment yet! 8 Or are theirs the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Mighty, the Bestower? 9 Or is theirs the kingdom of the heavens and earth and of what between them is? Why, then let them ascend the cords! 10 Here there is a host of the confederates only to be defeated. 11 The people of Noah, Ad and the dominating Pharaoh had rejected Our revelations. 12 And Samood and the people of Lut and the dwellers of the thicket; these were the parties. 13 Each of them who rejected the Messenger become subject to Our punishment. 14
