And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire! 27 Or shall We make those who believe and do righteous deeds as the workers of corruption in the earth, or shall We make the godfearing as the transgressors? 28 (It is) a Book We have revealed to you abounding in good that they may ponder over its verses, and that those endowed with understanding may be mindful. 29 And We bestowed Sulaiman to Dawud; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 30 Recall what time there were presented unto him, at eventide, coursers swift-footed. 31 And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night): 32 [He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks. 33 Surely We put Solomon to the test and cast upon his throne a mere body. Thereupon he penitently turned (to Us). 34 He prayed, "Lord forgive me! Grant me such power as no one after me will have -- You are the Most Generous Provider." 35 So we subjugated the wind to his service which carried his merchandise wheresoever he wished; 36 and also the jinn, every kind of builder and diver 37 And others bound together in shackles. 38 (Saying): This is Our gift, so bestow thou, or withhold, without reckoning. 39 And verily for him is an approach with Us, and a happy end. 40
