And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 [and thereupon was told:] "Strike [the ground] with thy foot: here is cool water to wash with and to drink!" 42 We gave him back his family and doubled their number as a blessing from Us and as a reminder to the people of understanding. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun - the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning! 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 all this will be theirs; let them taste it -- a scalding, dark, foul fluid, 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They will say: "O Lord, give him who has brought this upon us two times more the torment of Hell;" 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
